The Money Forge blog is a personal finance blog with an emphasis on achieving financial goals by using creativity and entrepreneurship to increase income.

Wow, that sounds very “corporate focus group.” Basically, I write about how to add more dollars to your net worth, with the end goal of financial independence. I write about this because it’s what I am striving to do myself, so I make no claims of guru-ness. I’m just a 20 something married guy trying stuff to see what works and writing along the way.

My perspective is that you can only get so far with cost cutting and budgeting, so while I will write about those things, my real interest is in making more money from multiple streams of income and investing that money intelligently.

I started the Money Forge blog in November 2007 as a way of collecting my thoughts and ideas on all things money related, with the hope that they might be useful to others and that others would contribute their own comments and ideas as well.
